Most Bulgarian equity indices rise, Sirma Group leads gainers

May 16 (SeeNews) - Most indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) gained ground on Thursday, with the blue-chip SOFIX climbing 0.37% to 849.40 points, bourse data showed.

SOFIX was boosted by software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH], which jumped 7.50% to 0.86 levs, and First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB], which grew by 2.30% to 4.44 levs.

Both companies were also among the best performers in the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The two indices were further propelled by a 7.05% leap in venture capital firm Eleven Capital [BUL:11C] to 16.70 levs.

Overall, the BGBX40 index went up 0.35% to 169.87 points, whereas the BGTR30 added 0.52% to 852.78 points.

The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, surged 1.54% to 98.17 points, following a 6.25% increase in cargo drone developer Dronamics' special purpose vehicle Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON] to 2.38 levs.

The BGREIT was the only index to close lower on Thursday, declining by 0.06% to 190.94 points. The index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, was set back by a 0.29% tumble in Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.38 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse slipped to a little over 1.78 million levs ($988,916/910,096 euro) on Thursday from some 1.94 million levs on Wednesday.

At 487,003 levs with 566,282 shares traded, Sirma Group generated the day's highest turnover.
