PODGORICA (Montenegro), December 30 (SeeNews) – Montenegro's parliament has approved the budget for 2020, targeting a deficit of 50 million euro ($56 million) equivalent to 0.99% of the projected gross domestic product (GDP), it said.
The budget for next year was approved on December 27, the parliament said in a statement on Friday.
The 2020 budget envisages revenues of 1.988 billion euro, expenses of 2.038 billion dinars and GDP growth of 3.4%.
Inflation is expected to accelerate to 1.0% next year from 0.5% in 2019.
In the first nine months of 2019, Montenegro recorded a budget deficit of 38.4 million euro, or 0.8% of GDP. The country closed last year with a budget deficit of 159.2 million euro, equivalent to 3.5% of GDP.
