Montenegro's mid-Nov jobless rate rises to 12.98%

November 12 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's jobless rate rose to 12.98% in the middle of November from 11.5% a year earlier, the country's employment agency said on Monday.

The number of unemployed, however, decreased by 0.78% year-on-year to 30,113 on November 12, the agency said in a statement on its website.

The country's jobless rate fell to 11.56% at the end of last year from 12.13% at the end of 2010. The number of unemployed in the Adriatic country of 620,000 people totalled 30,521 on December 31, 2011.

A total of 17,777 people have found a job so far this year, compared to 19,352 over the year-ago period, the agency said.
