September 14 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's July producer prices in the industrial sector dropped by 1.4% on the month and were 9.3% lower than a year earlier, central bank data showed on Monday.
In June the producer price index (PPI) fell by a monthly 1.1% and was 7.8% lower on the year, the central bank, CBCG, said on its website.
In July, prices in the manufacturing industry decreased 0.8% on the month, prices in the mining and quarrying sector posted a monthly decline of 0.6%, while those in the electricity, gas and water supply sector fell 2.7% from June, CBCG said in a statement.
The PPI fell on an annual basis in July due to an 15.1% drop in manufacturing industry prices. The prices in the mining and quarrying sector rose by an annual 0.3%, while electricity, gas and water supply prices increased by 4.4%.
