March 19 (SeeNews) - Montenegro’s unemployment rate fell to 12.2% in the fourth quarter of 2023 from 14.4% in the fourth quarter of 2022, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.

The number of unemployed people fell 10.2% on the year and 1.3% on the quarter to 38,800 in the last quarter of 2023, the statistical office said in a statement.

The number of employed people in Montenegro fell to 87.8% in the fourth quarter of 2023, a decrease of 4.8% compared to the previous quarter.
