Montenegro's household power consumption up 11% y/y in Jan

February 13 (SeeNews) - The power consumption of Montenegrin households rose 11.24% on an annual basis in January, reaching 159.4 GWh, power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) said.

On a monthly comparison basis, household electricity consumption went up 5.7% in January, EPCG said in a statement on Monday.

The average monthly household electricity bill in Montenegro was 44.84 euro ($48.3) in January.

The highest average monthly electricity bill, of 56.62 euro, was paid by households in Tivat, on the Adriatic coast, while the lowest one, of 22.61 euro, was registered in the northern town of Mojkovac.

The Montenegrin government owns 98.5% of EPCG, with the remainder belonging to a number of smaller shareholders.
