Montenegro's first-time car registrations rise 43% in 2023

March 1 (SeeNews) - The number of first-time vehicle registrations in Montenegro rose by 43% to 31,238 in 2023, the country's statistical office said.

The total number of motor vehicles registered in Montenegro in 2023 amounted to almost 285,300, up 6.9% compared to 2022, the office said in a statement last week.

In the fourth quarter of last year alone, the number of first time vehicle registrations rose by an annual 28% but edged down by a quarterly 0.5% to 8,145. At the same time, the total number of registered vehicles increased 4.6% on the year but fell 7.5% on the quarter to 74,121 in October-December.
