Montenegro's end-August mobile subscribers up 6.5% y/y

The mobile penetration rate in Montenegro increased to 207.02% in August from 194.33% at the end of July, when the number of subscribers was 1,204,914, figures posted on the EKIP website show.

Montenegro, with a population of around 680,000, has three mobile operators - Telenor, Crnogorski Telekom and M:tel. M:tel had a 35.05% share of the overall number of subscribers at the end of August, followed by Telenor with 34.44% and Crnogorski Telekom with 30.51%.

The share of postpaid subscribers was 46.64% at the end of August.
