In July, Montenegro's producer prices edged up 0.1% on the month and were 16.7% higher than a year earlier.
The 1.2% monthly rise in August was mainly due to a monthly rise of 1.7% rise in the manufacturing industry and a 0.3% in the mining and quarrying sector, while the prices of electricity, gas and water supply sector remained unchanged from July, the bank said in a statement.
The annual rise of 18.6% in producer prices in August was mainly due to a 19.5% increase in the electricity, gas and water supply sector, followed by an 18.3% price growth in the manufacturing industry. Prices in the mining and quarrying sector showed an annual growth of 17.2%.
