PODGORICA (Montenegro), September 14 (SeeNews) – Household electricity consumption in Montenegro increased by 10% month-on-month to 124.2 million kWh in August, according to figures posted on the website of the country's power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG).
On a year-on-year basis, household electricity consumption was up 11.7% in August, figures showed on Wednesday.
The average monthly household electricity bill in Montenegro was 39.89 euro ($47.5) last month.
The highest average monthly electricity bill, 74.86 euro, was paid by households in Ulcinj, while the lowest one, 23.65 euro, was registered in the town of Pljevlja.
The Montenegrin government is the majority owner of EPCG with a 57% stake. Italian company A2A owns 41.75%.
In July, A2A officially applied with the government to dispose of its shareholding in the company.
