On a monthly comparison basis, Montenegro's consumer prices edged up by 0.5% in March, after rising by 0.4% in February, the statistical office said in a statement.
In March, annual inflation was primarily driven by a 13.5% increase in restaurant and hotel prices and an 11.9% rise in clothing and footwear prices. Prices of housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuel prices rose 6.7% year-on-year, whereas prices of communication services increased 5.1%.
Prices of recreation and culture activities grew by 5%, furniture, household equipment, and household maintenance prices rose by 4.6% year-on-year in March, and prices of healthcare services increased by 4.3%.
