Montenegro to start tendering for Lastva-Pljevlja powerline project in Q2 2013 – EBRD

PODGORICA (Montenegro), December 12 (SeeNews) – Montenegro’s power utility Crnogorski Elektroprenosni Sistem plans to start tendering in the second quarter of next year for the Lastva-Pljevlja transmission line project, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which is set to back the project, said on Wednesday.

The proposed project, with a total value of 110 million euro ($143 million), will require the construction of a 155 kilometer 400 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from Lastva to Pljevlja, in northern Montenegro, the EBRD said in a statement.

It will also involve the construction of a new 400/110/35 kV substation at Lastva Grbaljska, the extension of 400 kV substation Pljevlja and the diversion of the 400 kV transmission line Podgorica 2–Trebinje into substation 400/110/35 kV Lastva.
