Montenegro Ranks Lithuanian-Latvian Consortium as Top Bidder for 54.35% of Marina Bar - Media

The tender commission ranked a Russian consortium led by Expert Marine in the second position and third was the Podgorica-based Bemaks company, B92 said on its website on Saturday.

Multi Capital Marina has offered to pay 2.2 million euro ($3.3 million) for the majority stake and has pledged to invest a further 12.2 million euro in Marina Bar. It has also proposed to pay a fixed annual concession fee of 122,000 euro and a variable fee of 5.2 euro per square metre.

The Russian consortium has offered 1.0 million euro for the shares and 11.57 million for investments. It is ready to pay 150,000 of annual fixed concession fee plus a variable fee of 10 euro per square metre.

Bemaks has offered to pay 554,880 euro for the stake and invest a further 6.72 million euro. It has also offered to pay 50,000 euro per year in fixed concession fee plus a variable fee of 6.0 euro per square metre , B92 said.

The Russian consortium and Benaks also took part in the previous tender for the marina, which was cancelled because the bids were too low, B92 said. Montenegro opened the new tender in June.

The marina, located in the Adriatic town of Bar, covers an area of 55,000 square metres including water surface of 100,000 square metres. It is surrounded by the town beach, the promenade and a ferry terminal.
