- The long-running negotiations involving the management of Montenegrin aluminium smelter KAP, the government in Podgorica and a consortium of banks aimed at keeping the company afloat through the 2009 and 2010 crisis may have hit a snag, the daily said after the credit committee of Hungary's OTP Bank, which controls Montenegro’s largest bank by assets, CKB, once again postponed the approval of a 49 million euro credit for the ailing smelter. The bank should announce a decision on the loan on Monday.
- The Montenegrin Finance Ministry has sent to the government a 2010 budget draft, recommending a cut in public spending equivalent to 5.0% of the gross domestic product, Nemanja Pavlicic, the Assistant to the Minister of Budget Sector, said.
