- The Montenegrin government will have to secure by mid-2010 a bank guarantee of at least a million euro for aluminium smelter KAP to help the company sustain production, aluminium market analyst Goran Djukanovic said. The government signed on Friday a guarantee agreement with Hungarian banking group OTP for 49.7 million euro in loans the bank extended to KAP for restructuring and debt refinancing.
- Three of the five micro financing institutions in Montenegro ended the first nine months of 2009 in the red, posting a combined loss of 642,000 euro, the central bank said.
