- Montenegro reported a second death caused by the A/H1N1 flu virus.

- The Montenegrin government will need to take out a loan of at least 100 million euro next year to finance its budget deficit, Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic told Reuters in an interview. He added the money could be borrowed from the International Monetary Fund, World Bank or the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

- Montenegrin power utility EPCG said it will set up a 16 million euro 51/49 joint venture company with Norway’s NTE. The new company will revamp and manage two small hydropower plants in Montenegro and will take part in other energy projects.
