April 25 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's government is inviting investors to express interest in providing consultancy services for a 15 million euro ($16 million) project for introducing energy efficiency measures that include solar photovoltaic installations in three public hospital buildings, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said.

The required works include preparation of preliminary and detailed design, technical specifications for preparation of tenders for energy efficiency measures in the buildings, and works supervision, the EBRD said in a tender notice on Wednesday.

Potential contractors can express their interest in the project by June 11, the statement read.

The EBRD said earlier in April it is considering extending a 12 million euro loan towards the cost of the project.

The project aims to reduce green house gas emissions and energy consumption, resulting in electricity and heating savings at the Clinical Centre of Montenegro in the capital Podgorica, which is the largest and most important hospital in the country, and at the hospitals in the northeastern town of Bijelo Polje and in the former royal capital Cetinje, the EBRD has said.
