Montenegro ends Q3 with 82,112 broadband lines

October 18 (SeeNews) - The number of broadband Internet connections in Montenegro totaled 82,112 at the end of September, up 411 from a month earlier, the country's telecoms regulator said.

The number of ADSL connections in Montenegro rose by 287 on the month to 68,438 at the end of September, the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, EKIP, said on its website.

WiMAX Internet connections rose by four on the month to 7,537 in September.

The total number of post- and prepaid mobile phone users that accessed the Internet from their handsets in September was 215,701, including 106,182 that used a 3G connection, EKIP said.

The three mobile phone operators in the country of 620,000 people reported a total of 1,112,610 SIM cards in use at the end of August.
