Montenegro, China’s Ex-Im Bank sign MoU

PODGORICA (Montenegro), September 7 (SeeNews) – The Montenegrin government said on Friday it has signed a memorandum of understanding with China’s state-owned Ex-Im Bank in a bid to step up bilateral cooperation.

Montenegro, China’s Ex-Im Bank sign MoU

The memorandum provides a concrete framework for Montenegro's intentions to secure soft-term financing from the Chinese side for priority projects related to the development of its energy and road infrastructure and the renewal of its maritime fleet, the government in Podgorica said in a statement issued after the signing ceremony in Beijing.

Montenegro has also invited Chinese investors to participate in tourism, transport and energy infrastructure projects in the Balkan country.
