Montenegro Airlines To Launch Regular Flights to Serbia’s Nis in January

The new Nis-Podgorica route will allow passengers to travel from Nis to London, Paris, Moscow, Zurich and other destinations, via Podgorica, Montenegro Airlines director Zoran Djurisic told a news conference in Nis on Saturday.

He added the flag carrier plans to set up an airline company in Nis, which will be 100% owned by Montenegro Airlines and will benefit from the support of the local authorities. The new carrier should launch operations by June next year.

Nis major Milos Simonovic told the same news conference the city has been intensively working in the last several months on increasing activity at the airport. For a long time, the local Konstantin Veliki airport has been having problems employing its full capacity.
