Montenegrin households' power consumption down 11% y/y in April

May 14 (SeeNews) - The power consumption of Montenegrin households fell 10.71% on an annual basis in April, reaching 102.294 GWh, power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) said.

On a monthly comparison basis, household electricity consumption dropped 18.96% in April, EPCG said in a statement on Monday.

The average monthly household electricity bill in Montenegro was 28.73 euro ($31.01) in April, down from 34.76 euro in March.

The highest average monthly electricity bill, of 34.03 euro, was paid by households in Tivat, on the Adriatic coast, while the lowest one, of 17.09 euro, was registered in the northern town of Zabljak.

In March, the electricity consumption of domestic households was down 0.98% on the year and was 4.22% lower compared to February.

The Montenegrin government owns 98.5% of EPCG, with the remainder belonging to a number of smaller shareholders.
