Montenegrin households' power consumption down 1.0% y/y in March

On a monthly comparison basis, household electricity consumption dropped 4.22% in March, EPCG said in a statement last week.

The average monthly household electricity bill in Montenegro was 34.76 euro ($37.03) in March, down from 36.64 euro in February.

The highest average monthly electricity bill, of 44.49 euro, was paid by households in Tivat, on the Adriatic coast, while the lowest one, of 16.93 euro, was registered in the northern town of Zabljak.

In February, the electricity consumption of domestic households was down 5.2% on the year and was 17.35% lower compared to January.

The Montenegrin government owns 98.5% of EPCG, with the remainder belonging to a number of smaller shareholders.
