Moldova's Transdniestria Region 9-mo Trade Gap at $492.8 Mln - Table

The ministry gave no comparative figure for the same period last year.

According to data issued by the ministry last year, the region's trade deficit was $326.1 million in the first nine months of 2007.

Transdniestria is located on the left bank of the Dniestr river in eastern Moldova, where most of the country's Russian-speaking population lives. The region demands full independence from Moldova.
