Transdniestria's industrial production totalled $543 million (417 million euro) in the first eight months of 2012, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The output of the power generating sector grew by 9.7% on the year through August to $206.3 million.
Transdniestria is located on the eastern bank of the Dniestr river, in eastern Moldova. It broke away from Moldova in 1990 as its largely Slavic, pro-Russian population feared that the country's Romanian-speaking majority would unite with neighbouring Romania.
