Moldova's real avg gross wage falls 11.3% y/y in Q2 - table

In nominal terms, the average gross wage was 14.7% higher year-on-year during April-July, the National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.

The average gross salary in the public sector was 8,713 lei in the second quarter, up 12% on the year in nominal terms.

In the private sector, the gross wage was 10,960 lei in the second quarter of 2022, up by a nominal 15.4% on the year.

BNS provided no monthly comparison figures.

The average gross salary in Moldova grew by a real 6.9% on the year to 9,116 lei in 2021.
