Moldova's Jan-Sept freight traffic volume grows - table

October 25 (SeeNews) - The aggregate volume of Moldova's railway, road, river, and air freight traffic grew by 22% year-on-year, reaching some 11.9 million tonnes in the nine months through September, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.

Calculated in freight tonne-kilometres (FTK), traffic increased 14% on the year to some 3.25 million FTK during the January-September period, the National Bureau of Statistics (BNS) said in a monthly transport sector report.

In September alone, the volume of Moldova's freight traffic increased by 25% on the month and by 23% on the year, to 2.1 million tonnes.
