August 21 (SeeNews) - Moldova's industrial output fell by a real 24.7% on the year in the first half of 2009 after rising by an annual 3.6% a year earlier, official figures showed on Friday.
In July alone, Moldova's industrial output decreased by a real 23.5% on the year, the country’s statistics bureau said in a statement.
Calculated in current prices, Moldova's industrial output totalled 12.43 billion lei ($1.1 billion/774 million euro) in the January-July period.
