Moldova's Jan-July freight traffic rises - table

September 16 (SeeNews) - The volume of Moldova's combined railway, road, river and air freight traffic rose 2.8% to some 9.94 million tonnes in the first seven months of the year, the country's statistical office BNS said on Monday.

Calculated in freight tonne-kilometres (FTK), traffic increased 7.8% to some 2.798 million FTK in the January-July period, the National Bureau of Statistics (BNS) said in a monthly report.

Details on Moldova's freight traffic follow:

Jan-July (in thousand tonnes) y/y pct change
Total 9,947.8 2.8%
-rail 2,642.3 -3.4%
-road 7,233.5 5.8%
-river 71.1 1.3%
-air 0.9 33.2%

The volume of Moldova's combined railway, road, river and air freight traffic rose 10% to some 19.4 million tonnes in 2018.
