May 7 (SeeNews) - Moldova issued 776 building permits in the first three months of 2024, marking an annual decrease of 5.6%, the national statistical office, BNS, said.

Building permits issued for construction projects in rural areas constituted 57.2% of all building permits in the first quarter, increasing by 19.2% on the year, BNS said in a press release last week.

Moldova issued 3,414 building permits in 2023, up by 0.6% on 2022.

Permits Annual change
Total building permits 776 -5.6%
-urban areas 332 +5.7%
-rural areas 444 -12.6%
Residential buildings 541 -4.2%
Non-residential buildings 235 -8.6%
