CHISINAU (Moldova), November 11 (SeeNews) – Turkey's Efes Breweries International (EBI) said its Moldovan unit has contributed 5.9% of its consolidated net sales revenue in the first nine months of this year.
EBI's consolidated net sales revenue fell by 21.9% on the year to $672.4 million (447 million euro) in January-September, EBI said in a statement. It gave no figures for its Moldovan operations.
"In Moldova, our best selling mainstream brand Chisinau has strengthened its leadership further by the contribution of redesigned Chisinau Blonda launched in July," EBI said.
It added that its Moldovan unit contributed 5.8% of the consolidated sales volume in the first nine months. EBI's consolidated sales volume reached 10.8 million hectoliters in January-September, 3.7% down on the year.
EBI reported earlier a 27.7% fall in the 2008 sales volume of its Moldovan unit, Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery, following a 3.3% rise in 2007.
