September 10 (SeeNews) - Moldovan meat company Basarabia Nord more than doubled its half-year net profit to 8.53 million lei ($880,000/621,000 euro), the company said on Wednesday.

Following are figures from the company's financial statement filed with the Moldovan Stock Exchange (BVM) :

Basarabia Nord, based in the town of Balti in northern Moldova, had a 16.5 million lei statutory capital at the end of June.
