September 8 (SeeNews) - Moldova's defence ministry said that during September 10-22 the army will conduct a joint multinational exercise involving a total of 500 troops from the country and NATO members Romania and U.S.
The exercise codenamed Fire Shield/Rapid Trident 2023 aims to develop capabilities and raise the level of interoperability between the participating armies, the defence ministry said in a press release on Wednesday.
The exercise will involve deployment of military units and artillery systems at the training centers in the north, center and south of the country.
