Primary dealers placed bids for a total 67.8 million lei worth of government securities in an auction, BNM said in a statement. The central bank, which sells the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, offered 91-day, 182-day and 364-day bills in the auction.
Yields on 91-day T-bills fell to 18.73% from 19.28% in the previous auction held on September 16. Dealers placed bids for 24.4 million lei worth of T-bills versus 22 million lei on offer.
The 182-day T-bills yielded 19.97%, lower than 20.66% in the previous auction on September 16. The BNM received bids for 19 million lei versus 11 million lei on offer.
Yields on the 364-day T-bills fell to 19.96% from 20.49% on September 16, as dealers placed bids for 24.5 million lei worth of T-bills against 12 million lei on offer.
