Primary dealers placed bids for about 138 million lei in 91-day, 182-day and 364-day T-bills in the auction, the central bank, which auctions government securities on behalf of the finance ministry, said in a statement on its website.
The average yield on the 91-day T-bills rose to 5.43% from 5.22% at the previous auction, held on December 9. The finance ministry sold securities worth 39 million lei.
The average yield on the 182-day government paper climbed to 9.97% from 9.60%. The ministry sold T-bills worth 44.9 million lei.
Yields on the 364-day T-bills increased to 10.27% from 9.98% with 46.8 million lei in debt paper being sold.
