Primary dealers placed bids for about 130 million lei in 87-day, 178-day and 360-day T-bills in the auction, the central bank, which auctions government securities on behalf of the finance ministry, said in a statement on its website.
The average yield on the 87-day T-bills rose to 6.73% from 6.14% achieved at the previous auction, held on December 23. The finance ministry sold securities worth 23.9 million lei.
The average yield on the 178-day government paper climbed to 12.18% from 11.24%. The ministry sold T-bills worth 42 million lei.
Yields on the 360-day T-bills increased to 12.77% from 11.75% with 51.3 million lei in debt paper being sold.
