November 3 (SeeNews) - The Moldovan central bank, BNM, sold 105.6 million lei ($9.6 million/6.5 million euro) in four Treasury bill issues on Tuesday, above its target offer of 84 million lei, as yields on all issues fell.
Primary dealers placed bids for a total of 142 million lei worth of government securities in the auction, BNM said in a statement. The central bank, which sells the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, offered 21-day, 91-day, 182-day and 364-day T-bills.
The yield on the 21-day T-bills fell to 2.64% from 2.82% at the previous auction. Dealers placed bids for 18.2 million lei worth of T-bills versus 9.0 million lei on offer.
The yield on the 91-day T-bills decreased to 5.82% from 6.12% at the previous auction on October 27. Dealers placed bids for 57.1 million lei worth of T-bills versus 28 million lei on offer.
The 182-day T-bills yielded 10.60%, lower than the 10.83% achieved on October 27. The BNM received bids for 48.2 million lei worth of T-bills, compared to 37 million lei on offer.
The yield on the 364-day T-bills was down to 11.22% from 11.28% at the previous auction, as dealers placed bids for 18.5 million lei worth of T-bills versus 10 million lei on offer.
