September 29 (SeeNews) - The Moldovan central bank, BNM, sold 103.9 million lei ($8.9 million/6.2 million euro) in four Treasury bill issues on Tuesday, above its target offer of 80 million lei, as yields on all issues rose.
Primary dealers placed bids for a total of 139.7 million lei worth of government securities in the auction, BNM said in a statement. The central bank, which sells the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, offered 21-day, 91-day, 182-day and 364-day T-bills.
The yield on the 21-day T-bills climbed to 3.18% from 3.0% at the previous auction on September 22. Dealers placed bids for 24.6 million lei worth of T-bills versus 13 million lei on offer.
The yield on the 91-day T-bills rose to 6.68% from 6.34% at the previous auction. Dealers placed bids for 49.2 million lei worth of T-bills versus 26 million lei on offer.
The 182-day T-bills yielded 11.05%, higher than the 10.25% achieved on September 22. The BNM received bids for 47.4 million lei worth of T-bills, compared to 31 million lei on offer.
The yield on the 364-day T-bills was up to 11.25% from 10.82% at the previous auction, as dealers placed bids for 18.5 million lei worth of T-bills versus 10 million lei on offer.
