Moldova Seeks at Least 2.13 Bln Lei (163 Mln Euro) from Sale of Stakes in 18 Companies

CHISINAU (Moldova), November 21 (SeeNews) – The Moldovan government on Friday called a tender for the sale of its stakes in 18 companies, hoping to earn at least 2.13 billion lei ($205.4 million/163 million euro).

The government offered for sale a land plot and an office building owned by the state institute for microbiology and virology for a combined 600 million lei, and a glass factory for the same price, the government's asset-selling agency, APP, said in a statement.

The list of companies also includes Moldova’s largest cosmetics maker Viorica-Cosmetic, electronic equipment maker Vibropribor, the building of the Chisinau Circus and an airplane Yakovlev Yak-40, APP said.

Interested investors should place their bids by December 22, it added.
