Moldova 7-mo trade gap widens 3.7% - table

September 10 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit rose by 3.7% on the year to $1.673 billion (1.3 billion euro) in the January-July period of 2012, the country's statistics bureau said on Monday.

Russia was the biggest foreign market for Moldovan goods through July, absorbing 29.6% of the country's total exports, followed by Romania with 16.1% and Italy with 11.1%, the statistics bureau said in a statement.

Russia was also the biggest exporter to Moldova. It had a share of 16.2% of Moldova's total imports through July, followed by Ukraine with 11.3% and Romania with 11.2%.
