April 23 (SeeNews) - German food retailer Mix-Markt plans to open its first three stores in Serbia on April 29, local media reported.
The company will open two stores in the capital Belgrade and one in the northern city of Novi Sad, media outlet eKapija reported on Monday.
The Mix-Markt retail chain was founded in 1997 and specialises in the distribution of eastern European goods, including Russian foods and homeware, as well as specialities from Poland, Italy, Turkey, Asia, the Baltic states and other countries.
It comprises 353 supermarkets in Germany and Europe, according to its website. In Southeast Europe, the retailer has nine stores in Montenegro, three in Bulgaria, one in Slovenia and 18 in Greece.
