Metalac tops turnover list on Belgrade bourse, share indices rise

October 1 (SeeNews) - Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.

A total of 5,050 Metalac shares changed hands in turnover of 9.6 million dinars. Metalac closed flat at 1,900 dinars.

The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.16% at 691.83 points.

Insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] was the sole gainer among the blue chips, as its share price rose 7.51% to 3,280 dinars.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.50% at 1,495.74.

The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 109 million dinars ($3.7 million/3.1 million euro) on Thursday, up from 7.9 million dinars on Wednesday, as 54 transactions were carried out.

Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 23.8 million dinars.
