December 16 (SeeNews) - Fast food chain McDonald's has opened a new restaurant in Romania's capital Bucharest following a 9 million lei ($2.1 million/1.9 million euro) investment, its developmental licensee said on Monday.
The new restaurant is the company's 37th in Bucharest and will employ 75, Premier Capital said in a press release.
Located in the Valea Cascadelor area, the newest unit takes the total number of McDonald's restaurants in the country to 82 in 24 cities.
McDonald's entered the Romanian market in 1994 and currently employs 5,500 in the country.
In 2016, McDonalds sold its restaurants and coffee-shops in Romania to Premier Capital.
