Market unaffected by acquisition of Bulgaria's TBI Credit - regulator

SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 19 (SeeNews) – A possible acquisition of consumer lender TBI Credit by Sofia-based Transact Europe Holdings is not expected to have an effect on the relevant markets in Bulgaria, the competition regulator said on Friday.

Earlier this week, the Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) said Transact Europe Holdings asked for clearance to acquire TBI Credit.

TBI Credit is 100%-owned by TBI Financial Services Bulgaria, a unit of Netherlands-based TBIF Financial Services.

Transact Europe Holdings was set up in November and is privately-owned by two Germans, two Americans, and one British citizen, according to data from Bulgaria's commercial register.
