MAHLE's unit in Bosnia raises capital - report

February 13 (SeeNews) - MAHLE Electric Drives Bosnia, the Bosnian subsidiary of German car parts manufacturer MAHLE, has increased its equity capital to 4.6 million marka ($2.5 million/2.4 million euro), local media reported.

The company's total equity capital previously totalled about 3.5 million marka, news provider Indikator reported on Monday, without providing further details.

Last month, Bosnian construction company Baupartner said it has completed the construction of a factory in Laktasi for MAHLE Electric Drives Bosnia. The factory spans across 30,908 sq m of interior space and 37,600 sq m of exterior space.

MAHLE Electric Drives Bosnia is investing 20 million euro ($21.5 million) in the factory, according to an earlier statement by the Laktasi municipality. The plant is expected to employ about 900 staff.

MAHLE Electric Drives Bosnia already operates a car parts factory in Laktasi, employing 424 people, according to MAHLE's website.
