The plant is projected to boost the total employee count from the current 600 to 1,000, the Serb Republic's government said in a press release.

The new factory spans across 30,908 sq m of interior space and 37,600 sq m of exterior space, according to an earlier statement by local construction company Baupartner, which constructed the factory.

MAHLE Electric Drives Bosnia already operates a car parts factory in Laktasi, according to MAHLE's website.
