Macedonia's ZK Pelagonija 9-mo cons net profit almost halves

November 1 (SeeNews) - Macedonian farming company ZK Pelagonija [MSE:ZPKO] said its consolidated net profit fell to 147.9 million denars ($3.1 million/2.4 million euro) in the first nine months of 2012 from 270.3 million denars a year earlier.

The company’s operating income declined 7.9% on the year to 817 million denars in the January-September period, while its operating costs increased 9.0% to 725.2 million denars, ZK Pelagonija said in a consolidated income statement sent to the Macedonian Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

ZK Pelagonija is part of the Macedonian bourse’s blue-chip index MBI-10. The company is active in agricultural production and trade, livestock breeding, transport and distribution services.
