November 6 (SeeNews) - The estimated value of construction projects covered by building permits issued in Macedonia edged down by 0.6% on the month to 1.59 billion denars ($38.4 million/25.8 million euro) in September, the country's Statistics Office said on Friday.
Year-on-year, their value decreased by 28.7%.
A total of 236 construction permits were issued in September, up 4.9% on the month but 15.4% less than a year earlier. They included 200 permits issued to individuals and 36 granted to companies, the statistics office said in a statement.
The total number of building permits issued in September included 200 permits for buildings, 10 for civil engineering projects and 26 for reconstruction projects.
