SKOPJE (Macedonia), October 13 (SeeNews) – Macedonian coffee producer Rio Kafe Grande has opened a new coffee processing factory, following an investment of several million euro, the country's Economic Chamber said on Tuesday.
The plant covers 7,000 square meters and is equipped with up-to-date technology for ecological coffee processing, the Chamber said in the statement posted on its web site.
The whole production has already been moved from the company's old factory located in the capital Skopje to the new factory, located in the Ilinden municipality near Skopje, a Rio Caffe official, who declined to be named, told SeeNews over phone.
Rio Caffe’s owner Zoran Todorovski was not immediately available to provide more details.
Macedonia imports some 9,000 tones of coffee per year. Skopje-based Rio Caffe was set up in 1991.
