The third-quarter business sentiment indicator, based on expectations of managers in the retail sector, rose by 2.0 points from the previous quarter, the Statistics Office said in a statement.
Retail managers said prices in the third quarter have increased compared to the second quarter, but are optimistic about the selling prices in the next 3-4 months, the statement said.
The biggest challenges before retail managers in the third quarter were weak demand (24.6%) and increased competitiveness (19.7%), the statement said.
NOTE: The Statistics Office releases monthly data for business sentiment index (BSI) in manufacturing industry, and quarterly data for BSI in the construction and retail sectors.
