SKOPJE (Macedonia), October 14 (SeeNews) – Macedonian lender Ohridska Banka said on Wednesday it has signed a 20 million euro ($29.8 million) loan agreement with its French-based parent bank Societe Generale to finance its business operations.
The loan has a maturity of one year with a renewal option at the half-way mark, Ohridska Banka said in a statement sent to the Macedonian Stock Exchange where it is listed.
The borrower is allowed to make partial drawdowns in accordance with its needs, it added.
Ohridska Banka, 58.82%-owned by Societe Generale, reported a first-half net profit of 8.8 million denars ($215,159/144,585 euro), down 73.9% from a year earlier.
The bank’s shares closed up 6.7% at 2,988 denars ($73/49 euro) on Wednesday.
